Is 34 million a lot, or a little? Well, if you think we’re building more AI capacity than we will be using in 5-10 years, and doing so irresponsibly wrt energy sources, then even far less than that would be too much How much it is in US emissions terms? About 0.5% of total annual emissions
This is pretty shameless and gross, and I say that as someone who is ambivalent about the degree to which (much) anti-tobacco advocacy has cast out harm reduction as a valid frame
This is… not a good argument How do *you* reason? How do *you* determine whether your outputs are correct or logical? I don’t think it’s the same! But whatever the difference is, that’s not a sufficient distinction. (Particularly rich commentary from a lab leak truther, also)
Sigh. Zombie “facts” never die The *way* Bush won the election should never have happened and set a terrible precedent, but if they’d finished the recount they were doing, he’d likely still have won. Gore might have won if he’d requested a statewide recount and gotten it, but he never did that!
