She Hulk did a lot to get me back into comics a couple of years ago. It’s almost always really well written. The two runs by Rainbow Rowell were some of the best I’ve ever read 🎉🫡💝
I’ve seen screenshots and it looks like a decision was made to have Pam be coo-coo crackers from the jump, which is a choice I guess 😆

Re-reading the Ivy series by Willow Wilson and I’d low key forgotten how much I enjoyed it. I think Willow Wilson made a lot of good choices with this series but my favorite is that she gave Pam a bit more empathy than usual 💝 I discuss this and more here 👇 medium.com/@nathanlamb7...
Another fun fact: Ivy is usually at her most evil in Wonder Woman for some reason. That first throwdown is one example, and she was deadly Ivy once again in the Poison Control arc in the mid 90s (art by Mike Deodato, Jr.)
Fun bit of trivia: The classic version of Poison Ivy actually debuted in a Wonder Woman story 🤯 They had a three-issue throwdown in World's Finest Comics 252-254. This was the first version that used Poison and made people into monsters. More on that below 👇 medium.com/@nathanlamb7...
Eleanor of Aquitaine is in my S tier of Civ 6 rulers. She really is the Queen of Hearts. Basically her rule is so cultured that neighboring cities are likely to renounce their liege and join her cause. So basically it's the culture game, plus unique conquest mechanics.
Civ 6 operates on a lot of different levels, and that's what I love about it. In one turn I'll be suzerain of Buenos Aires, which means I'll have auxiliary troops in the field if Arabia attacks. Plus Buenos Aires has an awesome special ability: all your bonus resources act as amenities 👏👏💪
Oh wow. Looks like I lucked out 😅 This might be an all-timer game. It's hard to capture and hold capitals in the ancient age, but at the very least Arabia is not attacking me!
Just founded my second settlement 🎉 It's a nice spot, couple of rare resources just outside of town. I've also got a hostile Arabia, somewhere to the south and/or west. So most of my forces are camped there. I'd say the chances I get attacked are about 80% 😅
I've had crazy good luck in this game. Also found a scout. Scouts are like gold in the opening act of Civ 6 games; they provide vital intelligence on the randomly generated maps, which really optimizes expansion. But...I always begrudge the cost early. So it's really nice to find one!
Big picture view for the map. So, the entire area to the north of me is open. That means I can concentrate everything on quickly staking claims in the south 💪 Her loyalty attacks are proximity based, so she's most effective when settling close to neighbors.
Going another round with the Queen of Hearts in Civ 6, Eleanor of Aquitaine. This is an odd deity level difficulty game. I found two builders very early but most have fought off Barbarians for the first age. I have a nice, wide open space on a peninsula. Looks like a good setup.
One pretty fantastic aspect of Hades: There’s often a balance of choosing rewards that help your current run, or rewards that permanently make you stronger. It’s well done that way.
