Big training hike tomorrow — prepping for my backpacking trek later this year. I’ve got the snacks…and yes, those are lucky charms. 🦄
Summer staycation book #1 — 10/10; one of my favorites this year. Essential social science fiction of the best sort. Eerie and a total page-turner.
Halfway through my treadmill run (first in a long time) and I forgot how nice it is to just set the pace and zone out to Metallica Not pictured: a huge bag of nerds clusters 🤣 got some interesting looks from my fellow gym-goers #runchat
I broke my promise not to use the oven during this heat wave to make this Portuguese chicken and fries by simple home edit. 200/10, no notes. Would break my oven hiatus for this recipe again in a heartbeat.
POV: you just smashed some Alabama BBQ. An allman brothers cover band is playing. You’re sipping sweet tea watching the sunset. Life is good. 🍗
Building back up to my pre-injury pace! Feeling hopeful about my race coming up in just 8 short weeks 😅 #RunChat
Beautiful evening on the back porch with my pup and a great book. No place I’d rather be. 😌
View of the fires burning around Ouray, CO - photos taken by friends on the western slope. #Cowx 🥵💔
Camping in Mueller State Park this weekend — we’re off to a great start!
Naturally, I’m trying to learn/read all I can about the South. This book came highly recommended by a librarian friend and it doesn’t disappoint — rich and well-researched, with a deep analysis of American history and which elements of our past remain unchanged.
When your husband treats you to your favorite coffee beans 😋 (and Huck in the background, because I’m loyal to them, too 😉)
Our little house is really feeling like a home now. My Sarah Bernhardt peonies are coming in after a year of dormancy. 😌
Death Cab for Cutie 5.29.2026 Ben Gibbard is still unbelievable and we scored first row seats!
Big trail run this afternoon to shake off the Friday slump. By the end of the week, I’m usually pretty drained and tend to hit a wall in the afternoons, but getting out for a run has really helped reset my energy. Making this my Friday ritual whenever possible ✨
Can’t believe it, but I think my young roses and peony buds actually survived the storm/cold snap. Our tree lost one small limb, but nothing major. 🥰 happy to see sunshine and blue skies this afternoon! Penny already misses the snow…
Weekend! Working hard on our garden and made a great dinner last night. Glad the sun is out today after a gloomy run last night.
Long ride out to Golden today and was joined by a pal. 🐞
