New tool (for me) in aggressive surveillance for #lungcancer. Dx w Stage 4 in 2022, started one-pill-a-day targeted therapy. 5 mos. later, after lobectomy, I was NED (no evidence of disease). Wonderful news to report. Steve Hansgen, who played bass on Minor Threat's "Out of Step" EP, and was in my band, Modest Proposal, just got a kidney transplant, according to his girlfriend/bandmate, on his GoFundMe.
Despite all the intentionality and savoring, I was unable to figure out how to make a good cup of coffee in our room.

BREAKING, re: Kennedy Center: Judge orders Trump administration to explain by Friday its construction plans (the tarp is still up) and what it is doing to ensure that programming continues after July 5.
The tarp is still up Monday morning at the Kennedy Center, obscuring the name of the building. The Trump administration filed paperwork saying it complied w judge’s order to remove the current president’s name.

Breaking: The Defense motion to set-aside Brendan Banfield's convictions in the 'au pair affair' murders trial has been denied, here at Fairfax Co Circuit Court. He'll be sentenced tomorrow morning, for two counts of aggravated murder -- each carries a mandatory life sentence.

Having #lungcancer is a risk factor with Covid. After a few days of cold symptoms, decided to test last night. With low fever, no shortness of breath, doc says it's prob not worth it to take Paxlovid. I'll nap it off, watch for worsening of symptoms. Glad I'm up to date on vax.
