Try to write just... The most annoyingly long fantasy series. Broken up into different arcs with different protagonists, or course. The Discworld model is one that I find reduces the sort of series fatigue I can get from following he same main characters for too long.

#AwesomeCharacters Their presence. Like, their overall vibe. Characters take on a life of their own eventually, but like... First there's a joke, or a funny scene. There's a punchline. Then there's a character who basically fits into the scene, e.g. Elf Dad. Then they get more fleshed out later.

Daria has a lot of great episodes, but the episode about contact lenses has some fucking flawless writing.

I once told my (Mexican) wife, "The name Buttercup must sound weird if you don't know it's a flower." Her: "IT'S A FLOWER?!" Some years later we repeated the process with one of my characters, Bluebell: "I thought it was just a name they used for cows!" So... Some names don't translate well.
