Proudly making classic cookware, using sustainable materials and traditional skills and crafts in our rural Shropshire workshops www.netherton-foundry.co.uk
BBQ yes, but please be responsible in this hot dry weather. www.netherton-foundry.co.uk/Fire-cooking
On a cooler day, on a remote Scottish island, Valentine Warner uses a Netherton Foundry giant chapa and massive 12" stockpot to rustle up a warming pot of mussel soup with fennel cream for Kitchen In the Wild guests. www.netherton-foundry.co.uk/iron-saucepa...
Detroit pan pizza: our 12” square roasting tray struck us as the perfect size & shape for this Michigan classic. Wisconsin brick cheese is not available in our local supermarket, has anyone ever seen it outside the US, so we substituted English Cheddar. www.netherton-foundry.co.uk/baking-tins/...
Echoes of 2001's obelisk............ Watch this space (spoiler alert, no apes!)

Deep purple This beetroot and mushroom curry from Madhur Jaffrey’s World Vegetarian recipe book is incredibly simple to make, with minimal ingredients. But the whole is, without a doubt, far greater than the sum of the parts. www.netherton-foundry.co.uk/double-handl...

We are very grateful to Helen for sharing her photo of Valentine Warner cooking mackerel on the beach when she spent time with Kitchen in the Wild. Our giant bbq chapas are perfect for fire cooking for a crowd. www.netherton-foundry.co.uk/Fire-cooking...
Inspired by the British Wild Food festival, an untended veg patch, the last of the English asparagus & Joe Woodhouse’s Weeknight Vegetarian cook book. Pasta, asparagus, spinach & black olive breadcrumbs, but there was no spinach, so we headed into the garden and pulled up a bucketful of fat hen.
Lemon meringue pie – always a good idea. Netherton Foundry pie dish – never a soggy bottom. www.netherton-foundry.co.uk/baking-tins/...
We've spiced up a pork burger, squidged it on a griddle plates with our burger press, topped it with griddled peach & a toasted brioche bun, steamed it under our burger dome ad then finished it off with pink pickled onions. Recipe here www.netherton-foundry.co.uk/Bundles?prod...

Size matters, especially when you are reaching over a hot fire. If you're cooking over a fire pits, one of our giant chapas, or a campfire these are what you need! A full 70cm length, safer & more comfortable to manage your food or nudge your coals. www.netherton-foundry.co.uk/outdoor-pans...
Not an everyday breakfast, but a quick & tasty treat once in a while. We use a recipe from our 1979 Good Housekeeping Home baking book, cover price £3.95, published by Ebury Press, now part of Penguin Random House. We also use our 15” griddle plate, as happy on the stove top as it is in the oven.
Cool enough for jam making again! www.netherton-foundry.co.uk/iron-cassero...
The temperature may have dropped, but the barometer is still set fair, which means it's perfect BBQ weather. As mentioned in many articles recently, one of the best accessories you can have is a charcoal chimney. Here’s ours, developed at the instigation of those ladies of the coals, Sam and Shauna
Totally tropical, pineapple, coconut and lime cake with rum syrup. Baked in one of our savarin rings. www.netherton-foundry.co.uk/baking-tins/...
On the hottest day of the year, we're envious of the Kitchen in the Wild guests who, last month, kayaked around Eilean Shona, before being served smoky goat soup and bread, cooked in one of our stockpots by Valentine Warner and served up by Angela Hartnett. Oh for a sea breeze!
Due to the heat our workshops and Cookware Emporium will be closed at 3pm today We are still available by phone and email till 5pm
There are 2 boxes on our bookshelves, filled with cuttings from newspapers & mags, notes scribbled on scraps of paper & my Mum’s recipe for Stilton soup. Right now the tomato recipes are on repeat, on this occasion @nigelslater tomatoes with basil butter. Perfect for hholidays and heatwaves.
Whether you're planning for the football or simply chilling, our champagne bucket and jam kettle/ice bucket are just the ticket. Cool, chic, stylish www.netherton-foundry.co.uk/iron-cassero... www.netherton-foundry.co.uk/iron-cassero...
When Felicity Cloake wrote that Elizabeth David posited that petits pois à la française is a dish in its own right, she thinks it goes well with fish. Our salmon swam a puddle of chervil & lime butter in a chefs pan. We added our imperfect, but delicious petits pois & English asparagus.
