Didn't do any reading during Wimbledon so finished the book I had been reading in the last couple of weeks. Started this one: Dual time set in France during WW2 and 2017. During these hot days easy to imagine myself in a Chateau and surrounding countryside.

This paperback is over 50 yrs old. My paperbacks of the Claudius books fell apart but this one has remained intact. Probably because this will be only the 3rd time I've read it. When I was young I collected Robert Graves 1st editions. My dad had a list & would scour bookshops for me on his travels.

I love Bronzino's portraits. Mostly nobility. Mostly looking left to right which suggests the light source in his studio. This is my favourite which is in the Ufizzi.
