This is my 1st rodeo
@nickespo
Disney, Wear OS development, Kubrick, bluegrass, the Oxford comma, and who knows what else. I contain multitudes. At the Vatican pavilion at the 1964 N.Y. World's Fair, when the guard wasn't looking, I licked Michelangelo's Pieta. AMA.
Out at the Calverton lavender fields today to buy some French Lavender for the backyard
The gazebo in Schmigadoon! (designed by Scott Pask) is an AMAZING example of forced perspective (in use throughout WDW), but taken almost to its limit. It looks round from EVERY SEAT IN THE THEATER, yet it's only 2½ feet deep. On stage, my eyes and brain could not agree on what I was seeing.
Kimmy SLAYED it as Betsy tonight! She'll be playing Betsy for possibly a few more nights, because Mackenzie has laryngitis
Heads up: my niece Kimmy The Broadway Actress™ is playing Betsy (the oversexed farm girl) in Schmigadoon today at the 2:00 and 7:30 shows! (Yes, we're buying tickets)
Idea for the new COP: instead of John saying "Whew, hottest 4th of July we've had in years," we utilize an AI agent feeding into the AA to have John give the ACTUAL weather. "Whew, it's currently 83° with the winds southwest at 8 and moderate humidity, going up to 87°. So warm, but not unbearable."
Just saying, is all. Echoing the daddest movie of 2008, for Father's Day 2026
So, this is new. In my nephew's church's missal (a collection of masses and hymns) is the following clause: "Without limiting any songwriter's or publisher's exclusive rights, any unauthorized use of this publication to train Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies is expressly prohibited."
After the visit to Ground Zero, we ended the day at a private party up on The Edge (the restaurant, not the guitarist for U2). Sadly, not in attendance: The Edge (the guitarist for U2, not the restaurant). After an hour, we were over The Edge (both).
It took me 25 years to come back. My office at 1 BT Plaza is, of course, gone; I'm standing exactly where I used to walk between the subway exit under the North Tower, across the street, to my office.
In celebration of Name Off Day, we took our traditional trek out to the vineyards to drink Winter White out in the sun
*Elvis / Waylon voice* 🎶 We can't go on together With suspicious moles 🎶
Question for the hive mind: I just found BOXES of these Pokemon cards on the street. They're all in Japanese, and in excellent condition. THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of cards. Are they anything? Is there some kid who's going to grow up and be SO PISSED their mom threw them out?
Quick shout-out to my Niece Kimmy The Broadway Actress™ (and the entire Company), who's playing the Schmigadoon! matinee today, then rushing over to Radio City for the Tonys! They'll be in the opening number, then a quick-change, and a Schmigadoon! number (pink costume) seven minutes after that.
The Google Nest Hub displays a rotating selection of random photos from your Google Photos account. If the photo is in vertical (portrait) mode, it will pair it with another random vertical photo that it deems similar or related, according to some ineffable algorithm. Such as:
