And, to play on my home field, sociology. Two observations: (1) Bourdieu? More like Bored-me, amirite?!?! (ht to @sarahquinn.bsky.social's better half for that one!), and (2) ASR looks like an interdisciplinary broker from this angle, with small outposts in other fields (tiny, for AER and AHR).

For your sporting pleasure, here the proportional (within-reference) citation distributions by field for the top 5. (Kuhn is 1962, by the way, not 1996). The most-cited (Anderson) has 230 across the corpus, and #5 (Tilly) has 112.
"Fun" (in the sense that a secular decline in state support for social science is "fun") offshoot from a computational text/soc-of-science/knowledge project with @mayrl.bsky.social. Long-term declines in NSF acknowledgment for all measured social sciences (and basically none for history, ever).
