Am I too late for the #jimothy zeitgeist? Probably. But regardless! I love all the cute depictions of that little cryptid, but there’s something about their proportions and long, grabby arms that gives off big were-raccoon vibes.

Obviously art can do a poor job of articulating its ideas, and that’s just bad art. But there is no idea so clearly expressed to be immune from misinterpretation. Calvin pissing stickers, Punisher logos. We are all of us to a certain point iconoclasts who just take what we want from art.
