Whereas this is what a real knee MRI looks like (DAMHIK) and this is at a 3mm resolution, this particular machine goes down to 0.6mm or so.

Contact the journo and ask if they've got a contact at Ambulance NSW? The total numbers in that report are pretty small and there's also some variation in median age which might be confounding. Definitely an interesting thing to consider in training though.
