It's not out till August but I loved A Healthy Appetite by Katie Huttlestone. The protagonist Hannah has cancer, is out of options, then is offered a place on a clinical trial. What happens is a darkly gothic and exhilarating counterpoint to a lot of 'cancer narratives' in fiction.

We're house-sitting a gorgeous teenage Rottweiler again.
