Black-crowned night heron. 2 minutes after this photo was taken, the Heron took flight into the reeds and caught a young American coot. He flew back to the edge of the pond and swallowed the coot in three gulps Red Wing blackbirds swarmed and dived at him the entire time. #yeg #birds 🪶
