Like you I
love love, life, the sweet smell
of things, the sky-blue
landscape of January days.

And my blood boils up
and I laugh through eyes
that have known the buds of tears.

I believe the world is beautiful
and that poetry, like bread, is for everyone.

And that my veins don’t end in me
but in the unanimous blood
of those who struggle for life,
love,
little things,
landscape and bread,
the poetry of everyone.

The Graham Platner debacle got me tapping this sign a lot nowadays. A red flag is a red flag regardless of what policies a political candidate is repping.

their spines like split noses,

Kafka’s trial ended in a sentencing

and Freud’s suppositions were
reduced to ashen vellum snakeskin.

Yet the plight of the bookburner remains:

SCOTUS pettily ruled in favor of the Trump regime today by finding a loophole in the language of the law, Alito posited that "arrives in the US" should only be interpreted literally because it sounds like "plain language" to him. It's the political equivalent of 'trust me bro.' #nicropoems

Every time you give a grifter
the benefit of you doubting yourself
you give up grey matter in favor of
giving them grey area to operate in.

A grifter is a contemptress
skilled in the cognitive dissonance
of loopholes, technicalities, and backdoors.

They arrive in the United States in backrooms,
conference calls, and boardrooms, allowed in
because they were not physically blocked
from brandishing bids for the supreme court
to banish dissenters to the shadow docket realm.

I can hear the death of the voice of reason now:

“Well, there’s nothing technically
wrong with what they’re doing.”

Okay groomer,
and technically there’s nothing
that says a dog can’t play politics.

Just remember every time a backdoor opens
the Overton window shifts a little more.

I’ve never seen a street
become a serving plate
like it did at a pride parade.

I took a seat at a wine bar’s
patio behind the barricades
and my tasting started with
white wine and havarti and
filed down lesbian nails.

I took in
balsamic, olives, and boudoir;
goth black, pomegranate, and blush;
sunburns peeling like prosciutto;
charcuterie and queer menagerie;
intersectional floats in lingerie

and in leathers and in drag with feathers.
Rainbows draped from every flag
like water contrasted on gasoline.

That oil and water mingling together
on my plate and on the asphalt

I saw all of the mastectomy scars
I’ve ever seen displayed pridefully

and not a single damned shame
among the lot of them.

So what's the excuse for the people who defended Elon Musk's nazi salute as him being autistic now that he's encouraging a full on pogrom? Hm? That he's just a socially awkward ethnic cleanser? You can't give a fascist the benefit of the doubt, they use doubt as currency for their own benefit.

Elon Musk is retweeting this pogrom information to a wider audience, encouraging the scale of violence as well as the duration, suggesting that terrorists should hold these fake protests multiple times and spread as much terror as possible for maximum victimization.

The younger generation are the first generations to adopt newer technology. In my opinion that means it's saying A LOT that they're starting to reject AI outright. When even middle schoolers and younger are booing it, it is not popular.

Another poem from my collection, How To Speak Out When You Are Choking. This one is dedicated to Memphis and the victims to the ongoing occupation by ICE and other federal agencies. Enabled by the governor and mayor, federal agents have been wielded like terrorists to detain citizens. #FuckICE

This results in a cryptic, frantic zigzag pattern the reader anxiously reads through with eyes flitting back and forth. Text of the poem contains no punctuation or capitalization, suggestive of a stream of thought.

"Painting Over a Reflection" is a piece from my upcoming collection, How to Speak Out When You Are Choking. A reflecting pool is for reflecting. The Trump regime is painting it so it can't reflect. The metaphors write themselves. In the meantime, have a little poetry to resist tyranny with.

pool on the national mall
was drained of wonder,
its surface was laminate
seafoam with silhouettes
of monuments sprouting
up between the algal
blooms and shadows of
kites spun from spools
of children’s glee flirting
with the surface. Now,
the cauterized taste of
burnt rubber fumes from
our nostrils, noxious
and without reflection:
it mirrors us in neon
casino blue and the
drone of microchips
processing, hedging.
Reminding us that
there’s more effort
pooled into the photo
of what we want it
to be than into the

The amount of bullshit you need to peddle to be able to put a pedophile in charge of the presidency is immense and includes telling parents to not vaccinate their kids and making this graph possible. Half of the cases of all of last year in 2 months. Thanks, Tromp.
