While Garmadon accepted evil as a part of himself, Lloyd, on the contrary, tried with all his might to suppress negative emotions and was ready to suffer personally, just so as not to cause pain to others… In my headcanon, Half-Oni perceive the human feelings of their host very closely, which explains why Garmadon was able to immediately gain control over Destruction while Lloyd fell 😭

Oni inside Lloyd felt the suppression, fear, and pain, and his attempts to break free are a kind of distorted helping hand… Lloyd just needs to give up control, and he won't feel pain anymore. The Oni's logic is that peace can only be achieved by causing pain to others and controlling everything. Due to the lack of an emotional bond between them, the Oni is ready to do anything for the sake of Destruction, even if it means destroying Lloyd's own body.

I’m always said that ”Future of the Past” was built on personal feelings and life events, but because always preferred to stay anonymous, hardly ever shared anything about myself. This video won’t just introduce you to me, it will help you better understand both me and my work!

I don’t want to forget that always strive to inspire and teach something through my works, and would like to share own story, which actually doesn’t quite fill me with delight. There are events I’d rather just erase from my life, but at the same time, those very moments shaped who I am, and you can’t just throw away life experience. This is the hardest piece I’ve ever had to publish, yet it’s so close to heart. I wanted to reach a point where I’m no longer keeping this bottled up and can finally share it! I used to absolutely hate talking about all this, however now going to show in an animatic lmao...
