Speaking a language at its very least political implies, above a certain age, the political belief that that language should be spoken by you. This was nowhere near what I was saying about the FACT that speaking a minority language is a political act, and it's still wrong.

Wouter Steenbeek writes "A healthy language is spoken by EVERYONE in the community, regardless of political leanings. As soon as speaking a language becomes a sign of belonging to a certain political current, it is doomed."

Language is political, minority languages especially so. Learning Cornish is an explicitly political, explicitly radical act, whether or not you acknowledge it as such.
