Y'ALL check out this knitting pattern my wife made!!! You can make a Fall sweater for IKEA's mini DJUNGELSKOG, and it's free to download! #knitsky
Organizational hack: 1. Go to a camera store and ask for "gaffers tape"; it's easy to tear by hand, not too sticky, and doesn't leave residue when removed. 2. Go to an art store and buy a white POSCA pen (+any other color you want). They're expensive outside of Japan but worth it. 3. Label away!
Good perseverance! As someone who's spent quite a while trying to learn Japanese on Duolingo, I can say it's... not great. I still keep the streak because it's good to interact with the language daily, but any time someone says they're learning a new language, I recommend they try Busuu instead.
Ah yes, spelling mistakes! (This is a test of using my phone camera to get scans of handwritten text for the RPG)
I've recently learned of a Japanese phrase, お花見 (Ohanami), which refers to a picnic you have under a cherry blossom tree while looking at the flowers. 🌸
Sound sources I had prepared for running last night's D&D session: - mandolin (necessary) - African djembe - medieval sounds synthesizer - little brass bells - modular synth program (controlled by wireless keyboard) - Spotify - D&D ambient sounds app - gavel ... folks, have I gone too far?
Amazing. After finding my spot on the map, I tap on a random point in the TTRPG community to see if it's someone I would recognize, and sure enough the inimitable @hodagrpg.bsky.social shows up. He's everywhere!
Looking at Google Search Trends (not a great metric, but it helps make a point); Threads indeed looks to be doing increasingly well over Bluesky globally, but that's largely thanks to popularity in Asia. Within English speaking / western countries, Bluesky may still be doing better.

The [2d10+mod → 3-tier table] approach is quite neat indeed, though I was nerding out over a far more minute detail... d100 rolls!
It seems all the locals are posting their photos of the sky this morning. I, too, couldn't help but grab my camera as soon as I looked out the window, so here's my contribution!
The one right below it is nearly as iconic IMO, albeit a little politically charged. 🟥❄️
