Self-deprecating handle (say it a few times fast). Pro-democracy. Focused on SCOTUS and the federal judiciary, but not exclusively so. Relentlessly cynical. Sometime semi-serious collector of inexpensive first editions.
You misunderstand: they're not complaining about Dems fronting a predator for a senate seat. They're complaining about Dems backing down from supporting one once it becomes public knowledge.
Worth highlighting what to me is the most telling sentence in Roberts' opinion in birthright citizenship case (see screenshot). Translation: "Give us a better reason to take another look at Wong Kim Ark and we will do it." And that's what Johnson is doing here. Here we go.
Never mind that being a criminal might also compromise a president's ability to faithfully discharge the duties of the office...
"...however on the white nationalist blogs I hung out on in 2023, this was all over the place."
Below is what McMorrow said that got her on the national radar in 2022. This is what the Dem establishment does to its candidates.
At a complete loss to understand how the author here believes that Blanche and Bove acted with contempt and yet doesn't think there should be a criminal contempt inquiry. If they violated the law, they should face the consequences. Why hedge on that?
We are 6 years removed from Jan. 6. This is not a 'worry', it's a reality. DHS *will* put its thumb on the scale this November, as will the post office and other federal agencies in whatever way they can. Voters should act accordingly and take nothing for granted.
Kudos to The Guardian (sort of). No headlines about it from NYT or WaPo. (Guardian: Does your audience really care who won the embarrassing fake fight on the WH lawn?)
There is a way to contact the public editor. And with coverage like the below I think more people ought to.
I'm fine with impeachment talk—we should—I just don't like it being presented in a deceptive, way. Call me a party pooper but that's my stance.
The fact that Alyssa Naeher has played twice as many games (8) as Katie Atkinson (4) with the following respective lines says a lot about where the Chicago Stars are. Great respect for Naeher's career, but she's not the #1 option for the team rn. Sjögren, what's the thinking here?
