For Kramer, it's Marion the Librarian (I just noticed the rhyme.) She brought out a different side of him. A giving side. When she reads her awful poetry, and he tells her: "I'm telling you you should be published"...that's real husband stuff. And of course the physical attraction was undeniable.
Elaine, who came from a privileged background, did a lot of "slumming" with auto mechanics and Communists, but in the end, she would have been most happy with someone who shared her interests and background. She should have made it work with Jake Jarmel.
For George, it's gotta be Bonnie from "The Label Maker." She's easy on the eyes, has no need for material things, is attracted to George's type, and is into freaky sex stuff.
Sometimes I think about who is "the one who got away" for each Seinfeld character: For Jerry, it's obviously Sidra, who was not only beautiful and had "spectacular" breasts, but was also genuinely funny. Her line, "He would have made a great Nazi" still slays. They could have been happy together.
Finally caught up with THE DRAMA. I give it credit for its original premise and top-tier acting, but there is just so much left unexplored. It left me feeling pretty annoyed.
The problem with THE INVITE is it was directed by an actor who was so caught up in making the audience *feel* the characters that she gave the film no shape. A more experienced director would have started out with a perspective of ironic detachment and gradually let the immersion take over.
One of the reasons ZERO EFFECT is my favorite movie is it’s the ultimate Bad Dad movie. Zero is a bad father (figure) to Arlo. Arlo obviously had a bad dad, which is why he takes Zero’s abuse. Stark raped a woman and abandoned their child. And Zero is this way because his father killed his mother.

One thing I've never been able to figure out is why more people haven't seen THE SIXTH, an A24 documentary about January 6, 2021. It's a riveting film with footage that makes the violence of that day irrefutable. One person I know has rated it on Letterboxd. ONE.

Watched 1991's DOGFIGHT for the first time last night. Incredible River Phoenix performance, so subtle, nuanced, and natural. Lili Taylor destroys. And it's a beautiful portrait of a moment in time.
