By The Neck

There is a sparkly flickering by her neck as butterflies seem to emerge from within her long golden hair. Her eyes are barely visible, a last ray of moonlight piercing into the Dark Forest.

She is covered in white clothes that appear damaged as if from battle, and her long blade lays steady as it rests on a kneeled man’s neck, his dark hair covered in mud after being dragged all this way deep into the Dark Forest.

“Free him right now! You are surrounded!” Says one of the warlocks standing in a semicircle in front of her, their hands up in claws as they trade looks with each other.

“Why have you brought this knight here?” Asks Another.

But the damsel remains motionless, her gaze predicting every move the warlocks try to make.

“You will not come out of this alive.” Mentions a warlock with a raspy voice “Give yourself in, let this knight go, he has only praises to his name.”

“Save me!” Yells the kneeling knight causing a buzzing noise as all the warlocks hands light up in colors.

But the damsel remains put, stoic, and her sweet monotone voice can be heard by all as she says:

“You should have brought an archer…”

Her swing is swift and clean, like a spinning ballerina. And before a dark haired head hits the floor a dozen rays of lighting light up the ashy leaves of the forest.
