“Now” Means Nothing subheading from the book. It discusses how perceiving reality requires some passage of time, which means the concept “now” cant be definite. I have scribbled a note for a character’s monologue. It says, He argues they arent real to him because they do not exist at the same time.

Excerpt from an early draft of my third book. It is page 52 of a draft titled Pennywhistle. I have added a temporary news story at the top, which became my chapter headings. I had changed from doing Parts into Chapters here. This is a scene that establishes the backstory, and I made lots of notes trying to get the right balance of information revealed and withheld.
