On retirement my parents moved to Cambridgeshire and he remained active in the party making many friends there
After he married my mum and moved to Nottingham he ended up at leader of Nottinghamshire County council and then chair of Nottingham Health Authority
So I thought I would write about my favourite labour politician my dad - here he is with me many years ago
I mean I think it looks great now - also have a bit of well my cancer was v small and very treatable and v unlikely to be life threatening so why did I mind so much
