Not A Bot A Lot
@notabotalot
Still trying to hang on to my sanity in today's world.
Great article. It identifies the language Schwartz used and why it matters:
I count 7 people and 7 golf carts. Does everyone have to have their own golf cart? Nobody doubles up?
Kind of a clickbait headline. The article states "it was always part of the agreement that the academy campus near Johannesburg be ultimately handed over to the provincial education department" and that Winfrey's support "would continue through an expanded national scholarship program."
I didn't think it was a typo. I just assumed you were big into "I can has cheezburger" speak.
I hadn't thought about the benefits of McConnell not being around (can't vote for SAVE Act). And Beshear mentions that KY hasn't elected a Democrat Senator since 1992, so there's no guarantee a special election would get a D in there. But I'd argue this could be the best time for that to happen.
Great post. It's bad enough we have little-to-no choice regarding utilities, even worse when they raise rates while not improving substandard service. And these utilities are for-profit, publicly traded. Utilities shouldn't be for-profit. Their main concern shouldn't be revenue for stockholders.
So the EPA doesn't consider power plants that serve data centers as utilities because "they don't offer any kind of service to the public." Utility or not, Doesn't the EPA still have power to regulate companies that poison the environment? I know THIS admin's EPA doesn't care, but will future ones?
FIFA should make up awards for THIS, instead of fake peace prizes for autocrats.
Also, check out the long-haired dude's left ankle snap - if it's not AI, I think he'd be screaming. And the other guy's forearm seems to get skinnier:
Since it's low res it's hard to tell, but a few things give me doubts: - there's golf balls strewn around AHEAD of the golf cart - driver's hair seems redder & longer after he bails out - other front seat guy (black shirt, backwards cap) gets a lot lighter skintone after the crash:
If true, it seems clear that he violated Kalshi's rules and could/should face legal action. Question is: will he? From Kalshi's rulebook and their website respectively:
Regardless of whether Carr received the tickets as a gift or not, it's completely inappropriate for the FCC Chair to sit in a private skybox as the guest of a media company which is under the authority of his office, especially after Carr allowed their huge merger. Just more blatent corruption.
Uh oh, I hope her driver's license and other legal documents match her birth certificate, otherwise Republicans won't let her vote:
Hey @npr.org, you're misrepresenting things when you say McConnell "revealed," or he is "breaking the silence," when there's no proof he actually spoke or even wrote ANYTHING in that statement, AND by posting a picture of him standing at a mic FROM AUG 2, 2025. STOP HELPING TO COVER UP THE TRUTH.
I pulled this from FoxNews's site. This event is just poorly designed. There's literally no reason to be in those empty areas - no music, no vendors, no food, no tables, chairs, or shade. Maybe they planned to have multiple stages but couldn't after all the acts bailed? Who would want to go to this?
I feel like people may just be reading the headline and making the assumption that teen boys are lacking in reading ability compared to teen girls. The study cited in the article suggests that boys simply haven't found books that "feel relevant, accessible or inspiring."
Depends where you live (of course). I live in Wisconsin, where drinks are relatively lower in price, and I see a lot of Gen Z at bars. Wisconsin has always had more of a drinking culture, though.
Ooh, I'll bet the ballroom could've stopped the attack, even though everyone was outside, on the lawn of the White House. I guess the ballroom is going to be some sort of sentient, autonomous robot. A "RobollroomCop," if you will.
"Conservative Democrats" aren't a thing. These are political opportunists who present themselves as Democrats in order to win elections. Kick them out of the party if they don't vote accordingly.
Shouldn't even come to a strike. SoFi Stadium is #1 stadium in revenue in the world, making over half a BILLION $ a year. The salaries of these 2000 union members - cashiers, cooks, bartenders, & dishwashers - can hardly dent their massive profits. Corporote greed. sportsrender.com/2025/06/21/t...
For others who were also confused why a pic of Earth Wind and Fire was used for this post, the reason is that a documentary about them by Questlove is opening the festival.
Jesus, this is horrific. I don't know how anyone can feel justified in subjecting a child to such things. Yet another example of how horrible humanity can be. I honestly don't think we'll ever evolve past such savagery.
This was just a publicity stunt for all involved - Rousey, Carano & Netflix. I don't watch MMA, but I happened to see it at a bar. It was clear during the intros that Carano had no intention of fighting, didn't want to get hurt or damage her face. It was a sham & they got paid (too) well for it.
From NPR: they're not sure it's being transmitted human-to-human, though it does seem likely, at least for some of the cases of very close contact. But even if it is, it's not transmitting at a high rate - if it were, much more of the people aboard would be infected: www.npr.org/2026/05/05/g...
Nice story, but I was hoping it'd give some advice for older people switching careers. Seems she was able to do it because she was already successful (& married to a doctor), so she likely had money, support, & connections to be able to get a new education & a new job. Many people don't have that.
