Looks like this one might be due to a patch that dropped this afternoon, rather than the norm.
Replaced Innovation: medium Quality: high An absolutely brilliant game this. The unique art style is beautiful and used to great effect, and the gameplay is top drawer.
Buckshot Roulette Innovation: high Quality: medium A game like no other I've played, this is fantastic fun but limited in scope. The aesthetic is close to Inscryption, but the vibes are still unique.
Aphelion Innovation: low Quality: low It's a harsh rating. This game isn't *bad* per se, but every element of this game ranges between lacklustre and mediocre. The story starts with a spacecraft failing to land, and then the game follows suit.
Speedball Innovation: low Quality: medium The nostalgia is real! It doesn't make any huge waves, but brutalising your opponents before you score a big fat goal is formula that just never gets old.
The Casting of Frank Stone Innovation: low Quality: medium A decent enough entry from the Until Dawn devs. I never have much desire to go and explore the branches in these games though - it needs a fast forward for the repeated bits. Bad End Theatre showed us how to do it right.
33 Immortals Innovation: high Quality: high Finally 1.0 is here! This is one of my favourite games since early access. Yesterday, 11 of us of fought our way through paradise, slowly losing numbers as we went, until finally just 2 of us managed to scrape victory over the Wrath of God. SICK AF.
Penny's Big Breakaway Innovation: low Quality: medium A reasonable 3D platformer, but a bit too shallow and not quite enough variety. Just feels a little bit low budget.
when [the tickets] have come and gone i'll be the one to carry on [pressing F5] and you can throw me to the wolves [ticketmaster] cuz i am
Forza Horizon 6 Innovation: low Quality: medium Despite the same old formula and a nigh endless list of minor flaws, Forza Horizon 6 is still good fun. I'd like to have seen some key Quality of Life imporvements given it's the sixth outing. Unskippable cutscenes and inconsistent AI, still?
Vampire Crawlers Innovation: medium Quality: high Another smash hit from Poncle, the combo system is great and the whole game is a joy. I was imagining card combos in my sleep after playing this before bed.
Crescent Tower Innovation: low Quality: medium Like a tiny, single dungeon Final Fantasy 1. A nice little game in between bigger releases.
Shinobi: Art of Vengeance Innovation: medium Quality: medium Gorgeous art and slick combat make this a hit. Unfortunately a few niggles like a passable story and fiddly platforming sections stop it from being truly great.
Mixtape Innovation: high Quality: high A masterpiece. Art. Don't miss it.
Planet of Lana 2 Innovation: low Quality: high More of the same, but when the same is so good, who's complaining? Gorgeous puzzle platformer for people who enjoy games like Limbo, Little Nightmares et al
alright so when is Absolum 2 coming out? big up @dotemu.bsky.social @guardcrushgames.bsky.social @supamonksstudio.bsky.social y'all cooked with this one
Absolum Innovation: medium Quality: high Incredible game that perfectly blends Streets of Rage style fighting and Hades style roguelite elements. It's a blend of existing ideas rather than anything truly new, but it works amazingly well. Honestly, a dream game for me.
I'm not the worst driver in my construction company but I'd better hope my buddy doesn't die
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown Innovation: medium Quality: high The fast-changing maps make this game feel fluid even though it's turn based. Bangin' soundtrack too. It is missing a few QoL features (too easy to press the wrong button and no undo), but I had so much fun!
Arcade Archives 2: Rave Racer Innovation: low Quality: high Just an absolute classic in the Ridge Racer series. Can't call it innovative in this day and age but it knows what it wants to be and it nails it.
