Behold, my mutant zinnia child! :P

A Gracie story in three parts. Other people try to take the cutest pictures of their animal companions, I try to capture the most chaos gremlin images possible (and Gracie is happy to oblige, lol).

That's awesome progress, glad to see them doing well! :D My zinnias are going full speed, especially after I put up some protective netting for them. I can see the tiniest sprouts of African daisies in there, too, but they are being much more shy (especially in the second, daisy-only pot).

Today would have been Mom's birthday, and it's been a mix of remembering happy times (such as this picture) and also a whole lot of missing her. Love ya, Momma, always will! Cancer sucks, y'all.

I finally got frustrated enough with the squirrels and/or bunnies digging these flowers up that, after sowing some additional African Daisy seeds in here, I built a netting enclosure over the whole thing. Hopefully this keeps the little punks out! As a bonus I now have a second daisy pot.

A clay colored plastic pot that has a layer of freshly watered potting soil in it. The extra African Daisy seeds are planted in here.

Despite the efforts of squirrels and/or bunnies to keep digging these little guys up the zinnias (and even a daisy or two!) are really starting to take off! :)

Update on the summer flower planter: we have sprouts! I don't know if these are the zinnias or the African daisies but I am glad they survived all of the squirrels constantly digging this up (stupid squirrels >:/ ).

New season, new batch of flowers for the planter. There's a mix of zinnia and African daisy seeds in here so I am hoping it will make a colorful mixture once they bloom!
