The trip back to Tertium was filled with awkward silence, but the worst was yet to come. Nya' tried to come to terms with the news. Quintus took his own life rather than "submit to the invaders." She stood silently by Jullus to pay her respects. Thoughts of Bozja and her mother raced to her.

It's based on a Gpose I took where I tried to figure out what she would have looked like. At the time they were still poor, homeless, and on the run from the encroaching Garlean empire as they continued their campaigns through Dalmasca and into Yanxia and Doma.
Ok one last post before I eep, because I was reminded of this amazing piece of art I won in a raffle by @swevenfox.bsky.social (thank you once more!) I was absolutely blown away when it landed in my inbox 💖 The image is of Nya' around 17 years old, as she travelled through Yanxia with her father
Nya' had figured out that "asking for the iyl" was a backup plan of sorts. She remembered that "iyl" was a temporary leader given the rights of the Lord Emperor in time of emergency. Confident Thancred would have clocked the missing twins on her departure, she only had to watch her own back.
Jullus took her through the remains of the city. "This is my home. Our home" Jullus poured his heart out over his family, and how he had to kill them. "I can't share in the burden of having to kill your own kin. But I can share in the loss of your home, Jullus."
As she listened to the Garleans talk about her, she began to see the picture they painted. They feared her, hated her, reviled her. For every life Garlemald had changed, for every life taken, Nya' had repaid their actions in blood. Justified? Perhaps, but not in their eyes... not in their eyes.
Nya' tried to find ANY words to refute Quintus' question, "why reject the unity and prosperity of Garlemald?" But there was never any "unity" in Bozja. Unity won at the end of a blade is subjugation, not equality. The words never found her.

Listen, Imma just reiterate how good Siren is. She's got a wonderful Adventure Timey style, easy to work with and is great at bouncing ideas off! All this on top of a fast service once your commission is underway!! WoLs, DnD Characters, hell why not a DnD Party?! GET YOU SOME!
This turned out to be super useful in my recent Gpose. Panel 1 and 2 in the first image used Base 3781 and 6162 to give some depiction of motion and weight to Nya's punch and kick.
