NYC's Department of Finance failed to return more than $460K to owners of seized vehicles that were auctioned due to a lack of financial controls and training. I am encouraged that DOF generally agreed with our findings and is acting on our recommendations. www.osc.ny.gov/press/releas...
Local govts. collected $12.7B in sales tax in the first half of 2026, a 6.8% increase over last year, which continued an upward trend for the past few years. However, that level of growth may not last, and local officials should be cautious in estimating future sales tax revenue. on.ny.gov/4q7PB6h
Older NYers who are at risk of being abused deserve to be protected. My audit found @nycaging.bsky.social should provide more oversight of elder abuse service providers. 🔗 https://on.ny.gov/4fNbrrQ
Three people were arrested this week in two cases of theft of state funds meant to help Harlem Children’s Zone and John Jay College. My thanks to @ManhattanDA Bragg and his office for their partnership in ensuring justice is served. 🔗 https://on.ny.gov/4w0Lafw
The NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) is meeting its timeliness goals for high priority demands but its responsiveness is slowing for some activities due to staffing and budget constraints. My office has made several recommendations to the department to help meet its goals. https://on.ny.gov/4gS8OG8

The NYS pension fund is voting against National Grid's executive compensation plan. It uses similar performance metrics throughout the plan, meaning executives can get paid twice for hitting one target. We will continue to hold companies accountable vote by vote.
I was fortunate to be raised by a father whose character and example continue to define the person I am today. Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers and father figures who lead with love, patience and sacrifice to help guide the next generation. Happy Father’s Day.

Our state pension fund is strong and secure. I was pleased to share that message with @nyspef.bsky.social retirees today in NYC. NY’s retired public employees remain great advocates for public service and workers rights in the state.

Both houses of the Legislature passed a bill to help more community and minority-owned banks qualify for state deposits to support banking services in underserved communities. Thanks Sen. Sanders & Assemblymember Anderson for working w/ my office on this important bill. 🔗 tinyurl.com/3kc7vx5b
It was an honor to present Christopher Erikson Sr. with a proclamation recognizing his years of service as a champion for working people. Congratulations to Chris on his retirement and as business manager from IBEW Local 3.

NY state’s pension fund will vote against ALL Meta board directors at the company’s annual meeting for its numerous governance failures. We’re also supporting shareholders' call for Meta to tie executive compensation to child safety and how its climate commitments align with data center expansion.
Honored to spend Memorial Day with Great Neck and Little Neck-Douglaston communities alongside our hometown veterans and families. The brave men and women we salute today, sacrificed everything for our freedoms. We will never forget their legacy.
Our team are rockstars in and outside of the office! Congratulations to the staff who participated in this year's CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge to promote community and wellness in Albany.

I was blessed to have a mom who encouraged me and cheered me on. To all the moms who give so much to our families, thank you. May we always be reminded of your love, selflessness and warmth, not just today, but every day. Happy Mothers Day!
From mechanics to electricians, welders, HVAC technicians and more, these are the men and women who build and maintain the systems we rely on every day. Your contributions do not go unnoticed! #nationalskilledtradesday
Nurses are the heartbeat of our healthcare system. They provide expert care and compassion for patients during their most vulnerable moments. Today, on National Nurses Day I thank them for their lasting impact on keeping our communities safe and healthy.
NYSUT is committed to improving NY’s educational system and fighting for educators and students. Their advocacy creates positive change, and I saw that firsthand today at their representative assembly in Albany. Thank you to President Melinda Person and her team for continuing to lead the way.
