Solo TTRPGs and Worldbuilding! I sometimes make cool stuff, but most often I'll be screaming from the rooftops about the cool stuff I love. 🇨🇦 Canadian. 500+ Worldbuilding & Writing Prompts is available now:
This one. Sorry for the weird angle. My toddler is asleep on my arm and it's the best I can do where I'm sitting.
Snagged @premeemohamed.com's The Butcher of the Forest from my library just in time to head to the lake!
I had to look back in my photos as I couldn't recall what Middle Kiddo went as, and she went as Rumi too. Eldest had a school look and then a late night look 😂
I'm going to cheat and show my laptop stickers and my journal stickers because they're jointly what keeps me sane and organized. Most of these are from folks I admire in the ttrpg space, I've tried to note those where I can.
We spent the middle of the day at the local fair on rides and such and I have so. Many. Heat related. Regrets. This is the current temp at 7pm and it's gotten a bit cooler since 2-4pm 😂
Camping 2026 begins with the 8yo and I playing Lordsworn by @marrensmusings.bsky.social
Today's #worldbuilding #prompt (my 1129th), is: "Write about a character that has been mistaken for someone else. A fun option would be to have them mistaken for a wanted criminal, but anything you'd like is great!"
I feel ya. I also had that urge a few years back... I'm bad at cursive and shorthand but, one day... I'll be less bad. 😂
Faithful of the HEDGE, witness the arrival of the fae in Saskatchewan! @acoupleofdrakes.bsky.social
Obsidian, by far. I've tried a ton of different methods for worldbuilding/game prep, and none of them even close to match the ease of use and functionality of Obsidian.
#worldbuilding #prompt no. 1090 Write about a city that celebrates an annual festival for an event that never actually happened.
I got to wear my Beetle Knight shirt that I got with the ttrpg finally, and it fits so nice. Please excuse the bathroom mirror photo 😅
Map doodles today because I keep wanting to map and I keep not getting to do a full page so the ol pocket journal is getting some action.
Hah, love it! I think my favourite though is this one you made a while back:
Did I spend the rest of yesterday listening to Left of the Dial? Yes, yes I did. Did I also create a character sheet for Long Haul 1983 in Obsidian? OF COURSE I DID.
Imagine being paid 174k annually and being *allowed* to be absolute dogshit at your one fucking job.
No prompts this week, I've been at the lake for three days and I'm not going back until someone drags me away
Absolutely. Wasnt sure which keyword was of interest so I added them all.
Playing with search terms, I do wonder what you did around these two dates:
Adding to the prior poster, this is worldwide: It's not a huge jump but there IS an overall upward movement trends.google.com/trends/explo...
I don't think I remembered to show this off, but as I'd mentioned before you should sub to @silverglass.bsky.social's Patreon because she sends fun surprises sometimes like this!
We had a couple hours in the city while my eldest was at a bday party so naturally we spent that time in the book store. I came out with Mothership and a new version of The Hobbit that I really like!
I'm listening to it on audible right now for the first time in audio form but probably at least my fifth time all told, and it's just so good every time. My eldest is 6 so Ive got a plan to start reading it to him once I get a new copy. My old one is falling apart 😭
You can still get to DMZ but it's a pain to figure out. You need to go to ModernWarfare 2, and you'll get a popup telling you to buy the game OR launch DMZ which is still free! They hid it away so it's less popular than it used to be, but I still have a ton of fun in it.
My son made me some Brownies at school today. I think 6 is maybe the perfect age for April Fools jokes 😂
