NYCHA Tenant Associations play a vital role in advocating for residents on issues like housing conditions, safety, and tenant rights. It was great to connect with our NYCHA TA Presidents to discuss priorities for our community in the year ahead.

In 2022, for-profit health insurers paid $10B in compensation to agents and brokers for enrolling individuals into Medicare Advantage plans. My legislation would bar financial perks for agents and brokers and ensure they work with patients to choose the best plan for them.

This is what drinking water in Georgia looks like after Meta began data center construction in the community. Yesterday I called for EPA and Congressional investigations into the impact of data center construction on local drinking water supplies. We cannot take water for granted.

Republicans are using kids as a smokescreen for what Big Tech lobbyists want: a national surveillance program to harvest our data with zero protections for people and their privacy. We must fight this dangerous expansion of surveillance technology.

We can't fall into right-wing populism’s lie that the most vulnerable in society are to blame for wealth inequality in our countries. We need to build movements that tell the truth: the story of wealth inequality is not a cultural one, but a class one.

When you have a rules-based order where you carve out exceptions to our values, eventually the exceptions become the rules.
