i think that the moment when we will learn for certain about the entire catalog of drugs and assistive systems necessary to keep trump hobbling along, it will be really weird. it will probably change how we see him and his presidency irrevocably

i can't remember how much ive posted here about eddie? he's a bit over a year old now and was acting lethargic and withdrawn and we were really worried about him and also confused bc he's not That old for a mouse. it turns out he has arthritis 😭 but weve got meds for him now that are visibly helping

lol i was going to try to write a proper email to you explaining my concerns about loftus and mcnally's ties to the false memory syndrome foundation, an organization founded by a couple following their adult daughter's abuse allegations of her father, but i get the feeling you wouldn't give a shit

The parents believed that their daughter's memories of abuse were due to a therapist who had influenced fabricated remembrances of abuse when Jennifer sought out therapy for her anxiety attacks over an upcoming Christmas family visit.

The accusations between the family members escalated after Pamela Freyd published an article in 1991 titled “How Could This Happen? Coping with a False Accusation of Incest and Rape” in the journal Issues in Child Abuse Accusations. Pamela Freyd used the name Jane Doe but details made it obvious who really was responsible, thus outing daughter Jennifer Freyd. The parents decided to form the organization False Memory Syndrome Foundation (FMSF) out of their home in Center City Philadelphia.

"Honestly, as much as I love "Fiction isn't reality" as a proship belief, I also saw someone using "Fiction isn't education" and I think that might be even better. Because the idea of fiction affecting reality has a different meaning to everyone and is pretty easy for antis to try and twist against us, but "You should not assume that any piece of fiction is meant to instruct you on how to think or act" is a much more clear-cut message that I think is harder to dispute. I like it a lot. Fiction is not education."

Hi, my name is Cupid (or Paya) and I am a trans/nonbinary, disabled artist looking for help with raising money to move. I've spent the last few years in a state far from home as my health has declined, and where a lack of medical access has become an increasing problem in my life. Without getting terribly personal about it, my living space as well as the context in which I moved here has been very traumatic, and on top of the worsening of my health, I have been desperate for a way out of the situation that has come to define the last few years of my life.

Graciously, I have been offered a room by some friends, but it is several states away so I have to try and raise funds to move myself, my things, and my cat. I feel very good about it, and think with a little help I can really find myself back on my feet and working towards independence. I know it is a difficult time for everybody, and I've dragged my feet in setting up an official means of crowdfunding because it is embarrassing and stressful in a lot of ways to put myself out there, but I'm at a point where I need the help, and do not think I can raise funds on my own in time for the end of my current lease.

I am an independent artist, and all of the money I currently make is through what little freelance commission work that i can accrue online. It is currently not really paying even for my basic needs, much less room to save. I'm hoping to save enough both for my move and to have a small safety net to help me get by until I can situate myself in my new location, to deal with the inevitability of medical needs, feed myself and my cat(who needs a specialized medical food), and contribute as best as I can to my new household.
