There's something really satisfying about these rather small cups (about 6oz) I've made. The angle of the line is off so I might just have to keep them for myself... darn. :)
Looks like this idea was copied too. Here's the exact same concept by Mark Parisi from 2018
I still have a few carbide trim tools left in my shop after last week's restock. Anyone need last minute gifts for the potter in your life? wildaytools.com
Just restocked my Etsy shop with new hand made tungsten carbide pottery trim tools! www.etsy.com/shop/WildayT...
Nice UX @baileypottery.bsky.social not confusing in the least. Please only change the bit AFTER the semi-colon. People scan specs, they don't fully read them every time.
I've upped my glaze game a bit (as well as experimenting with when not to glaze).
Funky little vases and a planter. I'm a big fan of functional pottery, it gives me great joy every time i eat out of one of my bowls or use a mug... but decorative vases can be so satisfying to make.
Some things with handles! The first is only 6oz and is maybe my favorite size and shape. I should have taken the pre-fired dimensions as I'd love to recreate it.
A few more pieces that I dig the results of. I'm excited for the next few batches as I'm throwing a bit larger and more consistently. I have a few vases, which I've yet to trim, whose shape I really love. Fingers crossed i do a decent job in glazing.
My first glaze attempts have come out of the kiln! I'm particularly into the white and red bowls.
Playing with some homemade laser cut ribs. The coffee cup needs some cleanup that i didn't catch before pulling off the wheel.
Destined for destruction. After sitting for the past few days and with a new slew of vessels i like more these made the trip to the reclaim bucket.
Got my first Bisqueware from the kiln and have started experimenting with some more shapely vessels. More pics on pixelfed: pixelfed.social/octopope
I've begun a new adventure. This one ended up in the clay reclamation bin... But not terrible for my third day of throwing.
Well... This is just about the maximum diameter of this hat pattern (coaster for scale). Were I to complete it, there's a chance it would fit my cats. Time to rip it all out and start again. 😢
Decided to learn how to crochet a hat. So far it's doily for a turtles tea pot.
