My husband and I were both raised by single mothers in an era where there was little support (legal, financial, political, or societal) for women in their 'situation', blamed by all of the above for 'failing' marriages to adulterous or abusive men. Happy Mother's Day to strong mothers everywhere!

Today is Pink Shirt Day: a day to fight bullying of LGBTQ2S kids across Canada. As someone who regularly faced bullying throughout my school years - including frequently being called derogatory gay slurs by BOTH classmates AND teachers - I will be wearing my pink shirt AND pink toque today! 🏳️🌈💗
