I found a camera roll of photos I took of the Paddington area from when I used to catch the Night Riviera. Expect some more photos of the Paddington area.
8 years and bit ago this week, a 5 star review of the book Not In Front of the Children in Record Collector Magazine. Time goes by quickly.
Lovely spring day of the kind that makes me enthusiastically and annoyingly happy. That and my son tidied up the garden outside the back door. Might even sit outside.
Same here - in the late 80s and early 90s. The beer is very good in both pubs. Well kept and decent quality offering. So nice I even took a photo of my pint in the Vic. Recommend popping into the Highland Laddie too if you’re in the area.
Nice to see these two places restored, open and thriving again in Leeds. The Victoria Family and Commercial Hotel and the Highland Laddie.
These (this) popped up on the other place*. Seven years ago, sometime around about now, Mike Stax of American print magazine Ugly Things gave Not In Front of the Children: Hidden Histories in Kids’ TV a very nice review. Thanks Mike. * not THAT other place, the other other place.
Manchester Piccadilly station and its impressive roof, looking splendid a few days ago.

I’m in the all consuming research and ideas stage a new non fiction book. This mostly revolves around finding and buying out of print books, hunting through them and leaving behind a trail of paper slips with illegible notes written on them. #thesmellofoldbooks #iamwriting
Some flowers from the garden. Picked and put beautifully in a pot by my son.
Went for a walk in Penzance with @sarahhealeyeditor.bsky.social, got a hair cut and saw some rather splendid trees.
