I found one in the Grand River this very afternoon.

Not much but with the river low, large islands have appeared and 4 green herons were stalking the temporary shores. These small elusive birds are not a common site and I saw 4 of them at once hunting in the same area. Don’t have my camera with me so this shoddy iPhone pic is all I could take.
