No way I was leaving Japan without one last taste of this nectar of the gods. Got two from the vending machine by the gate right before boarding. Just drank them both. And now, my taste buds will miss it.
I scored what I think might have been the last New Legends Green Lio Convoy and Missing Link Grimlock at the BicCamera in Shinjuku. Kinda neat that my first true retail Japanese Transformers are Beast Wars and G1.
Eating at the Tomorrowland Terrace because tradition. Trying the Baymax Burger combo because I’ll try almost any gimmick burger at least once.
We got down to the subway this morning and it was just us. It was creepy and I loved it.
Guess we didn’t want to go to Kyoto this trip after all. I’ve tried multiple ways to get the tickets. This was the only way to reserve side by side seats. :/
I did see some really cool rare (and fragile) Japanese G1 Transformers yesterday at the Mandarake in Nakano Broadway.
The toys were not the main goal of this trip, but getting a sealed Superlink Black Hotrod for $86.14 is definitely not a bad thing.
I love horror, and catching minor spelling errors in public. So much that I almost bought this shirt.
Sadly, the proprietor was nowhere to be found. I hear he’s kinda sleazy. Big ears. Strangely pointy teeth. Used to own a bar.
Found MewTwo. Did not go into the Pokémon Center. Shibuya is insane right now.
We broke the cardinal D&D rule: never split the party. My wife, eldest, and my niece got stuck on the first train. My youngest and I had to go to the hotel by ourselves.
About to land in Tokyo. I *may* have slept a cumulative 4-6 hrs out of 13.5 this flight. Lots going on. :) We left on a Friday morning and will be landing on a Saturday afternoon.
Alright, TakaraTomy. You have everything you need right there. Just move the Galvatron colors onto the LioConvoy mold and we have perfection. And make it mass release this time.
I’ve wanted legit figures of the Gao Gai Gar symmetrical docking combiners since forever. This is gonna be awesome. With ChouRuuJin getting made, I’m betting on GekiRyuuJin as well.
Missing Link Ultra Magnus is way better than I ever could have imagined! And now my old early 2000’s Hasbro reissue’s watch has ended.
The figure I call Blue Bolts is pretty neat, even if he’s got limited articulation. And you can turn him into a shield/missile launcher for Ultra Magnus outside his armor.
The Diaclone components of Missing Link Ultra Magnus are fun! Powered Buggy can even be a “jet” if you plug the missile launchers into the wheels.
