British crossings have zig zags leading up to pedestrian crossings with heavy fines and licence points if you park within them. Also, no parking within 15ft of a junction. Works a treat
UK pedestrian crossings have a zig zag zone either side of the crossing. Parking or stopping here will get you a fine of £100 and three points on your licence.
