The roots of tergiversation are about an unwillingness to pick a course and stay on it. The Latin verb tergiversari means "to show reluctance," and it comes from the combining of tergum, meaning "back," and versare, meaning "to turn." (While versare and its related form, vertere, turn up in the etymologies of many English words, including versatile and invert, tergum is at the root of only a few, among them tergal, an obscure synonym of dorsal.) While the "desertion" meaning of tergiversation is both older and a better reflection of the meanings of its etyma, the word is more frequently used as a synonym of equivocation. The related verb tergiversate is a somewhat rare synonym of equivocate.

A rare mistake from Marisa in this article. The proper spelling under any style guide is "Elizabeth FUCKING Warren" The rest of the article is okay, I guess. (It's awesome, they all are)

Goddammit, people. Yesterday was International Donut Day, and I didn't see a single Donut appreciation picture!

I'm slowly catching up on Fallout, and boy, they're not trying to be subtle, are they?

Ok, if I remember correctly, the moon base means we're almost to the end of Wolfenstein. Remember to not use all the armor pickups in the arrival area because you might need them when you come back through on the way out.

SRP, the biggest utility in Arizona controlling most of our water and power, is holding its elections soon. Turning Point is endorsing some of them, which I find quite helpful so we know who not to vote for. I guess some folks have similar ideas...

Sometimes my spouse asks me why I silence texts from my oldest kid by default. It certainly can complicate things, but the alternative is my phone buzzing <looks down> 75 times in 15 minutes.

Hey legal nerds - Do you often see a SaaS company forbid its users from downloading FAQs and help guides, or from making their own? The agreement isn't bad on most of the other IP demands, but this seems over the top.
