We're excited to introduce a range of upcoming training opportunities, developed by Orygen's workforce development experts and designed for allied and mental health professionals who support young people experiencing low-to-moderate mental ill-health.
The barriers and recommendations identified in the report were explored by a panel including youth advocates Adriel Appathurai and Anjalie Almeida, researcher Prof. Karen Block, and culturally responsive therapy practitioner Tigist Kebede. More details coming soon.
We were thrilled to this week host an energising panel conversation on ways to improve mental health support for multicultural young people, alongside the release of a new policy report developed with Centre for Multicultural Youth.
The launch of the plan was commemorated with a Smoking Ceremony led by Wurundjeri man Colin Hunter Jnr Jnr, and featured the unveiling of a beautiful artwork by Wurundjeri artist Alex Kerr. We look forward to sharing with you soon the plan and our progress along the way.
A significant day here at Orygen as we launched our 2026-28 Cultural Strengthening Plan. This plan sets out a pathway for meaningful action and reflects our vision for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people to grow into adulthood with optimal mental health.
