The wheaten table of Lughnasdh. A third of the loaf goes into the earth, in thanks. A third goes to my animal neighborhood, in reciprocity for the gifts I'm given. And a third goes into me, in gratitude. #harvest #gratitude #witchsky
Corn, milk, peace, happy ease, full nets, ocean’s plenty, Wisdom in decision and action, May these be the blessings of the harvest we reap. Blessings of Lughnasdh. Art by Skulls'n'sheets
I'm reworking the style for that Botanical Latin, and I think I finally landed on something I really like!
I'm trying audio recording for the first time, and I found an unexpected issue. Anyone have a filter for muting the heart-rending wail of a cat locked out of a room?
Finishing a round of something that's becoming a summertime tradition for me: a listen through of the Great Cities series! Not only are these amazing books, but the audios are some of the best audio plays out there. @nkjemisin.bsky.social is there a chance that there will be a third one soon?
My Independence Day Resolution: write more action letters. Call on the companies I work with to do better: use less plastic packaging, fix their supply chains, etc. And support others in doing the same with resources. What's yours? #fourthofjuly #solarpunk
A reminder for today. We must hang together, or surely we shall all hang separately. Take care of each other. Stand up for each other. Fight for each other and a better tomorrow, in the USA and everywhere. *Modern artistic version of the Join or Die cartoon of 1754 by artist Coyote Prince*
A playlist for the Fourth. Put on the tunes and keep fighting the good fight! #America250 #FourthofJuly playlists.ibroadcast.com/syqRnWBS0Kk
I wonder if this year the citizens of Massachusetts will hear the ghostly hoofbeats of that steed. We surely are in the hour of need. #folklore #fourthofjuly #comeonamerica
Aw, a snuggly post. Let's see... Jen feels safe in Bunny's room. Bunny feels safe anywhere her people are. Tweak feels safe in small spaces, or her coding rig. Kevin feels safe in the past and its ephemera. Or Aidan's company. Inyoni feels safe on the farm. Aidan feels safe with Naomi and Kevin.
The Aces High, Jokers Wild series has SO MANY SCENES of fighting the security and enforcement corporation that took over law-keeping and security work in the USA. Outsmart, outmaneuver, outfox is the name of the game. When the enforcers aren't there for the citizens, they shouldn't be there at all.
Hoo baby is there ever PTSD. Everyone in the original series has a bit. Even in the forthcoming series, the kids see their parents working through the remaining memories of trauma and struggle. But they do overcome. That's the key. Art by Laya Rose
If you're going to be protesting in defense of the soul of our country next weekend, I recommend taking this training. Take care of yourself, take care of each other! act.womensmarch.com/signup/heat-... #protest #America250 #WethePeople
Marriages are big turning points in the Aces High, Jokers Wild series. The three that get celebrated on page: Aidan and Kevin, Janice and Milo, and Tweak and Inyoni.
If you want to do one small, good thing today, sign this petition. People are being given decades' long prison sentences for attending protests at ICE detention facilities. We have to speak up for them. act.womensmarch.com/sign/DefendP...
Okay, I just watched Strange World finally. This. THIS. We need more movies like this. *HUGS SELF*
I've written lots of birthdays through the first series, but this is the first one in the new series. A big, important birthday!
I've been trying to read this book of folklore and Irish tradition all day. I left it open this morning during ritual... and now I'm reading it tomorrow
A good day for dancing, as the world stands still and takes a long breath. *Art by unknown artist, if known please comment!

My characters react...dangerously to bullies. And the bullies usually regret it in short order.
