Lovely to welcome friends who are doing amazing work from Museum X , CultureAnd, Red Earth Collective and St Petrock's yesterday. Another very busy day at your friendly neighbourhood Museum of Homelessness. We are open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays till October. 1230 - 430 come on down.
We have crunched some numbers for the last financial year and our crew smashed it. We are a small site and a tiny team. We build community not services. We get resources out where they are needed. Thank you to everyone who is supporting this our funders and partners. We love you.
Today in the museum we have: 💚 Hosted our regular refugee group 🤓 Had a researcher from Oxford in the collections looking at the history of homelessness and health ☕️ Had volunteers cooking lunch for 50
We have been trying to grow Ethiopean pumpkin for 3 years in the museum garden and we finally have a fruit. 💚
We're signing out of socials for a week or so. Back on 10th August. Joy is an act of resistance said Toi Derricot. we agree. 💜 So is resting from the algo. We will still be around IRL. The museum is open Tuesday 11-3 for community and Thurs, Fri Sat for 1230 - 430 for visitors. See ya soon friends

Today is 9 years since Grenfell. Despite clear evidence (both before, during and since the disaster) of premeditated crimes, criminal negligence, and misconduct in public office, survivors and bereaved family are still waiting for justice.

Absolutely banging day on the exhibition build for Criminal: an untold history of homelessness, resistance & survival. 2 tonne of hard-core down on the path, main space is being deinstalled and the archive room reordered. And a load of sausages / mac n cheese from our cook crew ❤️ #MoHcriminal
Sometimes you just got to hit the streets to draw attention to the sheer brutality of the crisis in this country. Homeless bloc at the National Housing Demo. Between us we run shelters, streets kitchens, emergency accomodation, community spaces. Our solidarity is our most potent weapon ✨️❤️
❗️NATIONAL HOUSING DEMO Crew meeting point at Bloomsbury Square Gardens 12pm. We will assemble with the trans+ bloc and make our way over to Soho Square together. We are forming the Homeless Bloc with many crews. It maybe a scrum so join us in Bloomsbury Sq if you want to march together
