Here is a crappy pic of a Monarch butterfly on the ‘Zesty Mix’ zinnias. Hoped to attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Success on both counts this week.🥰 I also saw a baby gray tree frog on my deck. It was the size of my thumbnail!🐸
After living here for 14 years, we finally put flowers on our deck. I kill every plant I come in contact with, so my husband is looking after them. These Zesty Mix zinnias are my favorite. Sturdy as anything, new flowers all the time, good blossom retention. Today, a hummingbird came to visit.🥰

Yesterday was like a woodland wonderland in back of my house. Managed to take these: Mulchy Mr. Nibbles lounging on wet cedar, and one of a few visits to my deck from cutie chippy pie.🥰
Blurry backyard animals: Chipmunk in what I think is a Mulberry tree. The birds have been going berserk in it for a few days now. Chipmunks too.🥰
Yesterday: Blue Square Detroit pizza in Hopkinton, MA. Took a slower route home and a wrong turn, which was through a gorgeous, deeply wooded area of Sudbury. Saw this wooden (rebuilt) pre-revolutionary war bridge. Bonus: Saw the Norwegian Football plane coming into Hanscom AFB. Ødegaard on board🥰
In The Berkshires for a couple of days. Today we went to Highlawn Farm, Lee, Massachusetts. Beautiful Jersey herd.🥰 Worth a visit if you’re out here.

Greetings from the fairway tundra in back of my house. Largely untouched snow except for the animals. It’s been piling up this month. Probably 2 feet of snow by now.
I’m disabled and haven’t left my house in over 2 weeks: 1. Covered path glacier with mats so nobody falls. 2. Mgmt. finally sends someone to break up glacier and rake the roof. 3. Rabbit visit, most likely looking for food, finding a heap of rock salt.😢 Now we are getting another 3-6”❄️😩

I was doubtful about being able to do the tree this year. I did the bottom half sitting on a stool. Started getting dizzy, while standing, to do the top half. Needs some tweaking, but I managed. Behold the bastard staircase banister where I hit my head back in February. 👀🤕😵💫🎄 Little victories.

I didn’t have a work laptop yet. I thought the commute would kill me. 110 inches of snow in Boston that year.🥶
Portsmouth, NH today: The monument for the “Negro Burying Ground” from colonial times. By 1813, houses were built over this resting place. I love that people leave flowers here to honor those buried here.
Leftovers for lunch today. Unbelievable Detroit-style pepperoni pizza😋 from Blue Square Pizza in Hopkinton, MA. It’s an hour drive, but we live in a good pizza desert, so it’s this place or Monte’s in Portland, ME. Probably a good thing that we can’t get delivery from either place.🤤
Without downloading anything new, where are you mentally right now? I’m eating baked goods to cope. This one, Fika in Saco, Maine, is my favorite. We have had all but 3 of the items in this photo. Armageddon is coming worthy baking.💙
