So…about stream scheduling come football season. College football doesn’t mean much to me. It’s a thing up here, but only when Boston College is good. Which is almost never. What can I say? We value things that actually matter like public services, education and snow removal up here.
Whew. That “get me through” coffee with dinner was a mistake. I don’t feel particularly well right now. I know what it’s like to be over-caffeinated, though it’s hard to explain. The good news is, Ultima came today! The box isn’t in the best shape, but it’s complete!
I mean…wow. I struck gold with this one. Sure, it’s a 5.25-inch floppy version. But holy shit this deluxe set of Wing Commander came with EVERYTHING. Not just the two expansions, but every last piece of documentation and every poster.

Secondly, the game we’ll tackle next March for my birthday: Gabriel Knight 3. This one had a rip in the box that I had to fix with scotch tape. It’s also missing the manual. But the discs are flawless. Same for Crusader. Honestly, I can’t wait to play this. #RetroPCGaming

This is an absolutely beautiful copy of Civilization II. The instruction book is almost 200 pages. The disc is pretty scratched, but I’m not worried.
First classic PC game of the week! Something good did eventually come out of the Ultima VIII engine.
A lot of my games are in boxes and ready to move, as my wife and I are on the hunt for an apartment. But I’ve got a forgotten PC classic for #RandomGameSaturday: Battlefield 2142. Independent servers are still going, not unlike Unreal Tournament 2004. This was stuff consoles couldn’t do in 2006.
