Music, cold beer and saving democracy are my favorite things! Also, no DM’s period, I’m not here looking for love, fame or crypto.
All set to visit with friends and family for my wife’s 75th trip around the sun, my 70th, our daughter and son in law’s 50th and our grandson, their son’s 30th. He’s in the Marines and won’t be there, but we will still celebrate him.
The fawns are popping out. Time to give the mamas some corn to help with the milk production! 🦌
All my tomato plants leaves look like this. Two new varieties this year and volunteer tomatoes from gardens past. Small garden, 6’x32’ four 8’x2’ beds on each side. The deer get to eat whatever grows outside the fence.
My favorite trick that Olive Mae does is to stick her nose between my leg and the counter so I can let her outside and then stand at the open door and look at me. Second favorite is to whine until I get up and then stand at the open door and look at me. 🤦🏼♂️ #dogs #imtrained
I came home from the store and noticed a strange stalk in my asparagus bed. I have never seen anything like this. #gardening #asparagus #WTHisthis
My second favorite hydrotherapy, watching the sprinkler water my garden as the cardinals come and bathe. First, of course, is waves at the beach. Both very soothing. #Gardening #Hydrotherapy
We’ve had a rainy two weeks and my garden is loving it!! Potatoes, carrots, peas, tomatoes, peppers, corn squash, onions, and okra. Okra from seeds from last year’s crop. First time I’ve tried that. #Gardening #HappyPlants
Group therapy just got started - wait, big band practice is starting. Yeah, that’s it.
On the way home yesterday from visiting our daughter’s family while driving on a back road, we stopped for a nature break. As I walked around the front of the truck, this little beauty was in the grass. I picked it up and it clung to my shirt. Sat there for a moment and decided to flutter away.
My garden after a late freeze. The squash has staged a die off in protest. #Gardening
