The book, Walk in Love, is a lovely distillation and overview of the Christian faith through the Episcopal tradition. Thanks for your hard work on it @scottagunn.bsky.social and Melody Wilson Shobe! It’s such an accessible and helpful gift to the Church.
That guy was super quick with that modesty cloth! Just so we’re on the same page, this robot clearly learned this watching Pentecostal YouTube videos to be ‘slain in the spirit’ so well. My theology has no space for robots to experience God like this… at least that guy was ready with the cloth!
Just a heads up. Taco Bell in the Netherlands does taco tuesday where you get two hard shell tacos for the price of one! Live Mas Mis Amigas!
This was my guess with a bunch of friends as the #WorldCup Final started. It’s looking like a pretty good guess so far.
The movie is starting soon and this is easily the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen a movie.
The lunch I made today during our brutal heatwave. Place the tomatoes in the freezer for a while and it was great.
These were my eggs this morning. They were great. Toast, avocado, scrambled eggs, shredded cheese, and tomatoes!
From October 2019. It’s been a while and almost doesn’t feel like I got to spent a few days at Mont Saint-Michel
I’m legal again after over a month in between paperwork. Hoping that my next visa comes through soon! Life as an immigrant is stressful.
It’s always a good day when your favorite brand of pasta is on discount at the store? So popular it’s pretty picked over, so I only grabbed 2kg.
PSG just won the Champions League Cup in shootouts. So now Paris is shutting down. 30 minutes later and all the buses are stopped and a majority of the metro and trams are shut down too.
It’s finally the same temperature outside as inside. It is 9pm and it is 30c/86f outside. Day 6 of 7 complete. This Paris heatwave needs to stop. #Canicule
I’m still thinking about you… my bow of rice, scrambled eggs, yogurt, and chili crisp that I had for breakfast this morning.
Just remembered that we're in ordinary time again! The season of Eastertide feasting has come to an end. That can only mean one thing.....
A week long heatwave starting the day after Pentecost? What can’t the Holy Spirit do! It’s been the earliest heat wave on record for Paris.
This weekend I use this photo for Urban Monastics that I snapped in when I was in Chicago back in August 2005. It's a decent photo, but I also realized that it might be older than @trt311.bsky.social...
Will you be in Paris tomorrow for Ascension? At 18h there is a free Gregorian program at Saint-Pierre De Montmartre (18eme). I'm really looking forward to it. The director who has been doing the work preparing shared about it with a group I'm a part of. Let me know if you'll be there too!
First time seeing the inside of the Opera Granier. The Chagall ceiling was beautiful in person.
I need very little reason to eat Mexican food (some of best cuisine in the world). So a holiday that they don’t really celebrate in Mexico is good enough for me. Breakfast tacos and then enchiladas for dinner.
I love beautiful art in churches, but I also really enjoy weird art in churches. Check out how excited this donkey is to bring Jesus into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday! From a church in Padrón, Spain.
So I did walk a lot (100km+ on the Camino) and then I didn't.... I should probably go for a walk again today (though not 30k+ steps).
