At Comic Con. I'm running out of books and prints to sign so I'm selling crummy sketches.
Thank you, Amy! My Warner Bros animation compadres and I are looking forward to greeting our fans and sharing many happy memories with them.
Looking forward to being in Atlanta next week with my Warner Animation compadres, human and otherwise!
The latest books on the shelves or on their way to stores soon: WONDER WOMAN - SPIRIT OF TRUTH SPECIAL HC EDITION, just released March 25th. ZATANNA OMNIBUS, in stores May 5th, HARLEY QUINN - ALMOST A HERO! September 1st, HARLEY & IVY COMPACT COMICS EDITION October 6th, and...a few surprises.
Found an old photo from 1953 of me and my Warner Bros Animation compadres Spike Brandt and Tony Cervone having lunch at the Smoke House with some of the guys we worked with back then. A few fellas from the MGM gang came along, too. Good times.
Comic Con season will be here before you know it. I'll be doing a few shows this year and here's where you can learn more about them: pauldini.com
It's February 13, time for Dot's Annual Warner Animation/DC Comics Galentines Day D&D Game and Slumber Party. Hopefully Diana and the Martian Queen won't come to blows like last year, but no one's taking any bets. Big thanks to party planner @davealvarez.bsky.social !
Maybe someday, after the eternal billionaire squabbles subside over who gets to own Warner Bros. next, this little gem will finally be released. Unlikely, but maybe.
A sneak peak at some of the newly created pieces I'll be bringing with me to @twincitiescon.bsky.social this weekend, Nov. 7th thru 9th. See you there!
Twin Cities Con update - Inspired by the Con and the Twin Cities themselves, I will be offering a new signed Batman Beyond print by the amazing Jordan Gibson featuring a pair of twins who love making double trouble for the Dark Knight. Here's a sneak peek. See you there!
HELLOOO, TWIN CITIES! Next month join me & my Warner Bros. Animation campadres @tomruegger.bsky.social & Paul Rugg at TWIN CITIES CON! Freakazoid's so excited he's already moved to Minneapolis and found local employment. The other Vikings cheerleaders couldn'd be more thrilled. twincitiescon.com
Okay, it's silly, but I still feel a little jolt of happiness everytime I get to write the name "Superman" in a story. Awesome art by @mirkand.bsky.social from something fun coming soon.
Chip Kidd recently gave us an amazing gift -- a portrait he had commissioned for us of Arleen Sorkin, both in, and emerging from, her role as Harley Quinn. The stunning image is by the magnificent Anita Kunz. I thought it only fitting to post it today, the 33rd Anniversary of Harley's debut.
Today is the 30th anniversary of Freakazoid (hooray!) so I'm posting this memento from 1995. Ahh, for the dear, departed days at Warner TV Animation when the characters would gather in the courtyard at Termite Tower (AKA the Imperial Bank building) for their weekley Mallet Club beating, er..meeting.
No, he's an old Mickey Mouse comics villain from waaay far back. He has shown up in the new Mickey TV shorts, though.
Tonight's phone doodle: Inque. Haven't played with her in a minute, now she's back oozing around my consciousness again. So much fun to draw, even though I can never get her swirls quite right. The Phantom Blot seems very smitten. Forget it, Son. She'd eat you alive. Honest.
Minerva, taking a late summer stroll thru her garden, or possibly posing for her New Yorker cover. A winsome portrait by Dave Alvarez with a nod toward latter-day Chuck Jones style. One of my new signing pieces at last week's Long Beach Comic Con. Tomorrow, a merry mallet mash-up.
Here's a quick peek at some of the new and unique art prints I'll have at my table this weekend at the Long Beach Comic Con. See you there!
Next week, August 30th and 31st, come join me at the Long Beach Comic Con and Expo! I'll be there with my animation compadres Tom Ruegger and Rob Paulsen, and whatever surf-going cartoon pals that might drop by!
"Moana? I wanna...'nuther mai tai!" Minerva's hittin' the tiki bars early tonight thanks to @amymebberson.bsky.social ʻIke ke kaikamahine i ka leʻaleʻa.
Doing something a lot of fun this week. Not a comic or a cartoon, but this is kind of a hint. Kind of. More info. coming closer toward Fall.
