LeBron James returns to Los Angeles on Christmas Day for Sixers-Lakers. Home opener against the Cavs.
Got a David Lynch thing happening with the hair and I wish I knew how I did it. Just missing a cig.
Been covering the Sixers for nearly a decade now (that’s a wild thing to type). This was my most challenging season personally, but we got through it. Incredibly grateful to anyone who reads my work and follows along. Shoutout my LB peeps who keep this thing rolling.
Joel Embiid, who is still considered questionable, is warming up ahead of Game 3.
Seven years ago. Feels like yesterday and three lifetimes ago at the same time. What a ride.
Just 17 days after an emergency appendectomy, Joel Embiid is warming up ahead of Game 4.
During COVID, Dominick Barlow’s high school team practiced in the woods to avoid detection. Oz Cross, who runs an elite AAU program, happened to take his kids to that court. He wanted to train Dom after the chance encounter. Theresa Barlow had a very normal mom reaction.
Really enjoyed this story from Oz Cross, who recruited Barlow to the NY Rens AAU team. Barlow was a senior in high school and wanted to run with NBA players. He got his shot and acquitted himself nicely.
Still overcoming a cold, 10 p.m. start and I have to wake up with a 4-year-old tomorrow.
Eric Snow, Pat Croce and Billy King are the first to speak for the 2000-01 reunion.
From @jakelfischer.bsky.social on any possible Giannis-Sixers link. It's noteworthy. Not sure there's a deal to be made, though. Daryl Morey will call on stars, so his lack of contact with Milwaukee is also noteworthy.
Covering the game from home tonight. It’s this little master builder’s birthday.
The list of players to average at least 32 points and eight assists in their first 11 games of a season, per @stathead.com. Pretty decent company for Tyrese Maxey.
