What is left of a moat and bailey castle, Greenan castles dates back to the 16th century and the earliest one from the 12th century, also where i cut my teeth with seascape photography at sunset.

The tiniest thing, that I have tried to get a picture off, these Slime moulds would not even be 1mm tall. #Sharemondays2026 #Macromondays #EastCoastKin

I watched a video and it was about growing your own slime moulds in a plastic box, so I tried and this is one of the results, not even 1mm tall, a focus stacked image. A new hobby, one that I am going to pursue over the coming years.

I use to dream about getting butterflies like this, till one day someone posted local to me. The Small pearl-bordered fritillary is such a beautiful butterfly the patterns on the wing is just something, I can sit and study.

I planted this Macedonian Scabious last year to attract the Bee s and it has been great for them, had the odd Butterfly as well on it. Close up you can see the pink pollen sticking to them.
