i wish i had taste in watches, i’ve always wanted a Soviet pilot’s watch but that one AppleTV show ruined that for me. besides some random smart watch i don’t wear this is the only one worth noting, and i love it a lot. my last job required all miners to have a watch on them besides their phone :3

i’ve only worn steel toe met-guard redwings, but they have held up to four years of me not cleaning them nary enough while working in a limestone quarry, so they get my vote of approval they are also super comfy

US Aircrew respirators (pictured here are the MSA M48, MPU-5, and -6) are also quite evocative i think. with some sort of big bulky helmet-mounted display system and you got yourself some nice looking pilots [i’m a respirator/SCBA nerd, i guess aviation-styled oxygen masks would be fine too]
