The Biclops

A giant emerges from a cave, a large eye peering from within a cave at ancient greek soldiers.

The greek soldiers run away in fear, each of them having just one eye. It turns out that the giant "biclops" has two eyes.

“What a beautiful universe, hon" says a telescope as gazes upon an aurora borealis. “It really is”, responds the telescope's partner, who it turns out is not a telescope, but a microscope. Hands full of algae, she wades waist deep in a disgusting swamp, amazed by the heavenly microscopic life all around them.

A determined humpback whale coursing through the ocean is actually the imagination of a goldfish in a bowl.

The imagination continues: The humpback whale breaches the ocean surface gloriously! We realize lastly that the goldfish has jumped out of it’s bowl, flopped on the ground.

Gotcha

3 panel comic strip rendered in an old fashioned crosshatch style: In front of a crowd, a somber clown is imprisoned in a guillotine as the executioner asks: "Gotcha the Clown... have you any final words?" The clown responds, "Just one..." The body behind the guillotine crumples as a very tiny clown exits the head-hole. "Gotcha!" he exclaims. The crowd applaud and wave their hats. Even the executioner has to suppress a smile.

A boy is staring at a book titled "Magic Eyes — Discover the hidden visions”. It’s one of those books which allow images to slowly come into focus out of confusing patterns. Deeper into the book, a vision finally shows up for the boy. “A dolphin!” he happily shouts, as a number of health workers with a straitjacket enter the room, his parents crying. His fingers grasp air, for there is no book in his hands at all.

the dark time

Vertical comic strip, first panel: Two Scientists in a time machine. A lever controlling “PAST” and “FUTURE” has SNAPPED. They look at the broken piece as if to say “uh oh”. In panel two, their phone-booth shaped time machine spirals into a time vortex as they clutch each other, screaming.

Panel 3. In a hazy wasteland, the scientists exit their time machine. “Where are we? Or should I say WHEN?” says the junior scientist.

In the final panel, some trash (including newspapers) blows into view as the junior scientist collapses to his knees. The bearded scientist says gravely: “we’re in the present.” End of comic.

A 3 panel comic strip. “There’s no way out of this one, Dad. Check.” says a kid who is dominating his Dad in chess. Dad, slyly, angles his watch to reflect a beam of light onto the board, catching the attention of a house cat. In the last panel, we see the pieces scatter as the cat pounces in vain. Dad covers his smile from his distraught child.

A bloody melee with merciless stabbing, impalements, and eye-gouging. Flashback to “Earlier:” A king announces that his soldiers are to withdraw, for he has received a written apology from the enemy via messenger bird. The parchment is unfurled to disappointment however. What appeared to say “I’m sorry” is revealed to say “I’m sorry you feel that way”.
