At Pellicle we take the use of generative AI very seriously, and consider its use in the generation of copy or images to be theft, and in breach of UK copyright law. Contributors found to be using generative AI in submitted work will have that work rejected and will forfeit their right to a kill fee. Contributors found in breach of these rules will also forfeit the opportunity to work with Pellicle again.

Text reads: During a time of fear and confusion, our leaders would have us fight among ourselves rather than stand up together for what’s decent and ethical. We are being sold erroneous horror stories about our friends and neighbours to further stoke misplaced anger and encourage exclusion and segregation.

Pubs are one of the last places we have free reign to be who we are, and share our individual perspectives, knowledge, and lived experiences. Do we connect with strangers in the supermarket, on the bus? No. Pubs are essential meeting places where all members of society can rub shoulders and learn that there is no “other”. We are all just pub goers, enjoying a pint.

Please enjoy David’s cartoon, and if you can, head to your local trans rights protests, and let our government know that trans people are loved, that we are a society together, and we will not stand for their persecution in the phoney name of “safety” or for any other reason.
